Hi, I'm Sharon King. Welcome to my writer's website. The banner at the top is a section of a stained glass window image of Jesus the Good Shepherd, found in many churches (including mine). The image represents my favorite Bible passage--the 23rd Psalm. If you're a mid-life Christian woman, roaming the heights and crevices of your 40- or 50-something life and trusting your Good Shepherd to keep an eye out for you, then we have a lot in common. Mid-life can be both the most exciting and the most puzzling season of our lives. It's a rich source for writing inspiration, and I hope you take time to journal about how God is leading you through your mid-life years. It's my favorite writing topic, and I invite you to browse a sample of my writing here at the website. I have published both academic and inspirational articles about spirituality and aging from the cultural perspective of an African American mid-life woman. My writing interests also include interntaional and multicultural themes about religion, inspired in part by my travels in Africa and my work as a consultant on cultural diversity.
